How do I make a copy of a project?
It is sometimes useful to duplicate a project. For example to try out a large operation without necessarily making it final.
Using the standalone tool you can use the Windows Explorer (or Finder on a Mac), to create a copy of the Raster file on your computer.
For the intranet version or the Raster tool on this website the procedure is different. You can duplicate a project using the following steps.
- Open the Library panel.
- Select the project that you wish to duplicate, and click the Export button. The project will now be stored on your computer.
- Click the Import button, navigate to the file that was downloaded, and click Open. A copy of the project will now appear in the list; a number will be appended to its name, e.g. "My project (1)".
You can now remove the exported file. However, it is often convenient to keep that file, as an additional backup on your local computer.
